Biskupskelda bryggjar øl – og eins og onnur mikrobryggjarí kring heimin, so er talan um framleiðslu við handakraft – crafted beer – frá byrjan til enda.
Navnið Biskupskelda stavar frá staðarnavni við gomlu bygdagøtuna millum Vág og Fámjin. Biskupskelda er nakað sunnanfyri Ryskivatn, við vegin, sum í dag gongur niðan til Ryskivatn.
Navnið Biskupskelda er elligamalt og tað er ikki greitt, hvaðani navnið kemur, men tá vágbingar fyrr til gongu fóru norður í hagan í Bjørgunum at reka, so varð altíð steðgað á við Biskupskeldu at fáa sær at drekka – og sagt varð, at vatnið úr Biskupskeldu skuldi verða heilsugevandi.
Høvuðsinnhaldið í øl er vatn. Vatnið, sum verður brúkt til ølframleiðsluna hjá Biskupskeldu, er úr sama økið, sum heilsugevandi vatnið í Biskupskeldu.

Søgan um mikrobryggjaríið Biskupskelda byrjaði á vári 2020, tá farið varð undir at gera ein ára gamlan tanki um at seta á stovn eitt mikrobryggjarí til veruleika.
Útgerð varð keypt, samstundis sum samskiftið varð tikið upp við myndugleikarnir og neyðugu loyvini vórðu fingin uppá pláss, og fyrstu ølirnar vórðu bryggjaðar.
Frá fyrsta degi varð greitt, at góðskan, smakurin og sjálvt upplivilsi kravdi meiri – og mikrobryggjaríið Biskupkelda sá dagsins ljós.
